Senior Survey, established in 1999, conducts comprehensive assessments of the many curricular programs aimed to improve the quality of undergraduate education at UCLA. The center provides evaluation and research services for academic programs falling under the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. The center consists of a director, an associate director, and a team of postdoctoral fellows and graduate student research analysts. Using a variety of investigative methods, both quantitative and qualitative, researchers at the center collaborate with departments across campus to provide institutional policymakers and program administrators with the data necessary to further strengthen the undergraduate curriculum at UCLA. The center also provides data for UCLA's periodic accreditation reviews, by providing evidence of educational effectiveness in our documentation of programs and activities.
To accomplish comprehensive assessment of undergraduate education at UCLA, the center maintains working relationships with institutional researchers across campus. The center currently coordinates research efforts and data collection through active alliances with:
- The Student Affairs Information and Research Office (SAIRO)
- The Office of Analysis and Information Management (AIM)
- The Office of Instructional Development (OID)
- The UCLA Higher Education Research Institute (HERI)
