Copyright Issues

The Instructional Media Collections & Services is authorized to monitor compliance with Federal copyright law Title 17, United States Code, and the University of California policy governing use of copyrighted audio-visual programs for classroom and student use. The IMCS serves as a clearinghouse for authorizing acquisition and playback of all DVDs, videotapes, laserdiscs, and other media intended for reserve use in the Instructional Media Lab.
